I know this is going to make a lot of people mad, sorry.

I understand the economy is not good. But men now a days are just pitiful. I know 4 men off hand, personal, that are not able to support there families.  It sad, but I drive by our local movie place, McDonald's, and few other places that are hiring. My hubby tried to help one man get at my hubby work, the job was to far away for our friend. But then this same man bemoan my hubby for having a job.  The army is taken people. I understand it a hard life.

It a job. It will pay the bills. Is it the best paying job, no way but it a job. I hear this men "I am far to over qualified for that job"... It pride, they can not possible take a "lower" job. Or a job out of there profession.

I think it odd, foreigners come here and take jobs as cabbies, gas station works. An they were Dr or Lawyers in there home countries, and we are ok with that. But these men understand they have to have a job to make a living for there familes.

I know a young women. She just moved in with her boyfriend.. Which I am not fond of all ready. But what drives me out of my mind is the reason she states. "WE moved into together because we can not afford and wedding".... There was logic in wedding, it not the pretty fluff.... It that you can afford to get married...If you can not afford to GET married then you can not afford to BE married.  Why do we even have wedding anymore... It all about show... If I ruled the world.. The would be some law.
A. Virgin only may have "the wedding" that both bride and groom.
B. People only with serious intent to stay married may have a "wedding".
C. If you can not make 6 week of wedding counsel you may not have a "wedding"

You may marry if you do not fit the above mentioned criteria but you may only have people at your ceremony but you may not do anything that looks like bride magazine.  An receive only modest gifts.

Home Schooler are not herd animals!!!

They are not suppose to follow the pack.. We are the lone wolves type....Or we use to be. I guess with it popularity we have sadly become the herd thinkers.... I do not have to have the "cutting edge, "coolest", "most advance", "widely used",  "POPULAR" material in my kids education. We all have to use the same thing if we are really doing a good job. I mean if I want to us The Bible as our spelling cirrcumlum, I should be scolded for given less than what money can buy. I am sure I could pick up a full fledge spelling curriculum for under $200.

I do not have to do co-ops. I am so not understanding the draw of co-ops. I thought we wanted to teach our kids...Not someone else.  I joined one once for 3 weeks... They were have cheerleading as a class.... I am ok if you really want your daughter to jump around calling attention to herself, dancing immodest to "christian" music...But why offer this as a co-op class? What really lasting effect will this have in your daughter future ???

A HOME SCHOOL PROMS PEOPLE..(yes I am yelling)... Why are we having proms... PROMS why. I am  so baffled by this.. I went to 2 of my proms. An there was nothing NOTHING there I would want my kids to partake in.. I get I am a freak, but a freak to home schoolers, the people that will not send there kids off into the world, will send them to a "home school prom" to me that is the height of hypocrisy...

I am on a home school loop email thingy.. AN I understand the newbies trying to wrap the minds around home schooling... But the women that are always asking "what spelling should I use", or "Math", or "Spelling"..After 10 yr old schooling you have got to have an idea what works for you child... Or at least I am hoping you do.

Thank you all those godly women of years ago that said "PUBLIC school not cutting it for my kids" ...An you went and busted out the beans for counting, and showing up at your local meat market to pick up a calf heart, and general thinking about what works for you kids, and outside the narrow confines of modern education...

I am not say all home schooler are this way, but it becoming way more common. Do I think I have it all firgured out NO WAY, but at least I'll admit this. An really do not want to be mean, snide, but sarcastic yes. Oh well, what can I do... Buck the trends, strike off on my own path, be the lone stranger.
